Instructions for use:
1. Preheating: Before heating, preheat the beaker to prevent breakage due to excessive temperature difference.
2. Heating: When heating with an alcohol lamp or water bath, ensure the bottom of the beaker is heated evenly to prevent breakage due to localized overheating; when using an alcohol lamp, use an asbestos mesh to avoid direct contact with the flame.
3. Stirring: When heating and dissolving samples, continuously stir the sample with a glass rod to prevent scorching at the bottom.
4. Transferring Liquids: When transferring liquids, ensure the beaker is tilted at an appropriate angle to prevent liquid from splashing out.
5. Cleaning: After use, clean and dry the beaker promptly for future use.
Precautions:
• Before use, check the beaker for cracks, chips, or other damage to ensure safe use.
• Do not place a hot beaker directly into cold water to cool, as this may cause the beaker to break due to excessive temperature difference.
• Do not heat the beaker for extended periods without liquid, as this may cause overheating and damage.
• Avoid collision with hard objects during use and cleaning to prevent scratches or breakage.
• Do not exceed the beaker's capacity limit to prevent sample overflow or splashing, which may result in sample loss or personal injury.
• Beakers are primarily used for stirring, mixing, and heating solutions; it is not recommended to store solutions in them to avoid sample evaporation or contamination.
• The beaker has graduated markings for rough measurement of liquids, but it is not suitable for precise measurement.
